Sunil Contractor has a unique combination of business academia, product management, and data analytics expertise to provide innovative and pragmatic solutions to business problems, conduct market research, and teach a diverse set of customized seminars on marketing management, managerial decision making, product development, and services management.
Leveraging over 12 years of R&D experience in the telecommunications industry, including his tenure at renowned organizations such as AT&T Bell Labs and BellSouth Telecommunications’ Product Commercialization Unit, Sunil has a proven track record of driving innovation. He was involved in over 20 new product introduction projects, and some of the successful products have generated millions of dollars in revenue. A testament to his inventive spirit, Sunil holds 34 patents.
In addition to his industry accomplishments, Sunil was a marketing faculty at several prominent business schools, including The Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University, the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He taught a wide range of marketing courses, such as Marketing Management, Product Development, Consumer Behavior, Global Marketing, Market Research, and Data Analytics, at the MBA, Executive MBA, MS, and undergraduate levels. His research interests encompass Brand Strategy, New Product Development, Consumer Behavior, and Scale Design.
